I have always liked the look of the SVA series and this is my third attempt at building a model of the SVA.5 variant. The first two  was the 1/48 Spin Models resin kit. It proved to be frustrating experience, twice over. The Fly Models kit is more forgiving but still needs care. The plastic strut parts are quite flimsy which means careful handing. The wheel axle should really be replaced with a metal rod. You can see the left wheel is flexing under the weight in the photos above. This particular model is the 'late' version, which had a deeper radiator which required a slightly modified fuselage. There are two water tanks on the top wing instead of the standard one. This aircraft was also unarmed. In fact, the armed version was not well liked by pilots because the location of the guns made them difficult to reach should they get jammed.
