This is the Astrokit 1/48 resin kit of the early series Aermacchi C.200. At the time there were no injection moulded kits of this aircraft in this scale. They only other choice would have been the Italian Classic resin kit which I never bought. It was built long before the Pacific Coast Models released their 1/48 kit, on which Special Hobby based their early version release which I reviewed for SAMI. As the photos hopefully show, the Astrokit builds into a nice looking model but I'm fairly sure this kit is longer around and neither is the Italian Classic kit. The Pacific Coast Models and Special Hobby kits are also getting scarce.
