This is the fiendishly difficult, now discontinued, Brach Models 1/32 resin kit of the very impressive Macchi MC.72 Schneider Trophy machine.

Although it was stuffed full of highly detailed parts, the best thing about the kit was the beaching trolley that came with it. The main component parts of the model needed all kinds of work to get everything into place. Metal rods were supplied to attach the wings and tail surfaces. It is a heavy model!

The horizontal tail surfaces were modified as they were not the right shape. The grossly crude and exaggerated brass radiator surface detail also reduced because they were very smooth and sleek in appearance.

I had originally intended to install the highly detailed double V-12 engine, which was a separate boxing, but it would not fit without remvoing a lot of the wonderful detail. Instead it was displayed on the support trolley that came with the model.

The model has had some further refinements, so will update the photos eventually.
